2018 Chevrolet Tahoe

The 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe should continue to be one of the most-competitive full-size SUVs in North America. This, already iconic, model is in production for more than 25 years. It originally came in 1991, as the successor of legendary K5 Blazer. So far, we have seen four generations of it. The current model is present since 2014. It came with a lot of changes compared to the previous model, and most of the reports suggest that 2018 Tahoe will not feature bigger changes. Since its release three years ago, this SUV receives a smaller update for every year, and we believe that Chevy will continue in the same way, while some bigger, mid-cycle refresh will come in a year of two. So, we could expect changes in terms of new standard features, new technologies etc., while visual updates are yet to come.

Also, the mechanical part will remain the same. Only changes that we could see are in terms of trim level reorganization. Each trim could receive some new standard feature, but those changes will be minor. There are three trim levels in offer – LS, LT, and Premier. Already base LS model comes with features like 18-inch alloy wheels, active grille shutters, tri-zone climate control, 10-way adjustable driver seat, 8-inch touchscreen etc. The 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe LT will add features like leather upholstery, 10-adjustable front passenger seat, 9-speaker Bose audio system, rear view camera etc. Finally, there is a fully-loaded Premier model, which includes standard features like 20-inch wheels, xenon headlights, real-time traffic navigation, ventilated and 12-way adjustable front seats, Magnetic Ride Control and many other great features.

Transmission is 6-speed automatic, which delivers power to rear wheels, while AWD configuration is optional. When it comes to performances, this full-size SUV needs around seven seconds to do a 0-60 sprint. Average fuel consumption should be around 18-19 mpg in combined drive.
