If you want to make a smart and safety buying, the 2018 Ford Escape will be definitely one of your first choices. In the segment where competition is tough, this small crossover comes with plenty of trumps. The original model came in 2000 and we have seen three generations of it so far. While the first two generations were designed in America, the current model is pretty European. It came in 2013 and it is pretty much the same model as Ford Kuga, which was designed in company’s European department in Germany. After three years of production, it received some updates last year. So, this fact indicates that the 2018 Escape probably won’t feature bigger changes. We expect its arrival somewhere late in the year, probably in December.
2018 Ford Escape redesign and features
After the last year update, we expect 2018 Ford Escape to come without changes. This model recently received plenty of new things. There is a new styling, some smaller revisions insider, new technologies and also new engines. When it comes to equipment, this small crossover will come in three trim levels. The base S model comes with standard features like 17-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, a 4.2-inch central display, a rearview camera, the Sync tech interface with AppLink smartphone integration, Bluetooth etc. The next one is SE, which adds things like fog lights, a keyless entry keypad, rear privacy glass, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable driver’s seat etc. The top-level model will be the 2018 Ford Escape Titanium. This version will include features like ambient interior lighting, driver-seat memory settings, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a 10-speaker Sony audio system with HD radio.
2018 Ford Escape engines
The 2018 Ford Escape will come with three engines in the offer. The base model will continue with the familiar 2.5-liter engine. This unit is good for about 168 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque.
