There are big expectations from new 2018 Land Rover Discovery. The new model comes completely redesigned, but it is also very important that company decide to bring back this legendary nameplate to the United States. The 2018 Land Rover Discovery is coming completely redesigned. This mid-size SUV will come with so many new things. First of all, we must say that there is a completely new platform. New construction is 85 percent made of aluminum. There is also some magnesium at the nose. There are also aluminum subframes, which provide more load space and better center of gravity. In terms of styling, 2018 Land Rover Discovery will be significantly different, compared to the second generation. It comes with a much more rounded shape. It features similar shape to a smaller Discovery Sport. New SUV will feature three rows of seats, and interior design will be similar to other Land Rover models in the lineup. The new cabin is very stylish and also comes with more space and many newest hi-tech features.

When it comes to powertrain, we know for now that there are three engines will be in the offer for sure. There are one petrol and two diesel units. The base model will feature a 3.0-liter gasoline engine, but we still don’t know exact numbers. When it comes to diesel units, there is a smaller 2.0-liter inline four, and also a 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit. Just like with the gasoline unit, max power and torque are still unknown. When it comes to transmission, all engines will be paired with a new 8-speed automatic gearbox.

So far, we know that 2018 Land Rover Discovery will come in the UK in April. On the other side, we still don’t know its launch date for the U.S. market. Base model should cost around 50.000 dollars.
