A second-generation model of this excellent crossover came last year, so we are pretty sure that 2018 Mazda CX-9 will come without bigger changes. After more than ten years of production, this amazing mid-size three-row crossover continues to increases its domination even more. Original model came in 2006. The 2018 Mazda CX-9 will continue in the same four trim levels. Those are Sport, Touring, Grand Touring and Signature. The Sport model comes with standard features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, cruise control, keyless entry, tri-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel etc. It also comes with many hi-tech features like a rearview camera, Bluetooth phone and streaming audio, Mazda’s Connect infotainment system with a 7-inch display and a six-speaker sound system with HD radio etc. The next one is Touring, which adds standard features like an eight-way power adjustable driver seat, 8-inch touchscreen, power liftgate etc. The 2018 Mazda CX-9 comes with standard features like 20-inch wheels, roof rails, a sunroof, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, rear parking sensors, frontal collision warnings and mitigation, a head-up display, premium Bose 12-speaker audio system etc. The Signature adds premium leather upholstery and a rosewood interior trim.
2018 Mazda CX-9 engine
When it comes to powertrain, 2018 Mazda CX-9 will continue in the same way. It will feature a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which is good for 227 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. If you use a premium fuel, total power increases to 250 horses, but torque remains the same. Transmission is a six-speed automatic. When it comes to fuel economy, 2018 Mazda CX-9 is one of the leaders in the class. A front-wheel drive is good for about 25, while AWD goes around 23 miles per gallon in a combined drive.
