Once again, we are about to see some quite interesting novelties from the famous luxury carmaker. The Bentayga has been around for a while, but every year we see a couple of interesting updates. The 2020 Bentley Bentayga won’t be an exception. Moreover, we are about to see a completely new version, powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain. This is important for many reasons, particularly because this will be the first electrified car in the ultra-luxury segment, which usually isn’t oriented to fuel economy and similar things.
Other than a new powertrain, the 2020 Bentley Bentayga won’t change too much. A couple of additions in terms of standard equipment, as well as new customization options, are pretty much everything we could expect from the upcoming model.

2020 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid
There is no doubt that the biggest novelty for the 2020 Bentley Bentayga is a new hybrid powertrain. So far, this crossover was available with two gasoline engines. The new versions come with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder, which comes together with a powerful 94-kWh electric motor. This is pretty much the same system that powers Porsche Cayenne plug-in hybrid. While the German crossover is oriented to performance and features much sportier suspension setup, the new 2020 Bentley Bentayga Plug-In Hybrid won’t be so interesting to drive.
On the other side, it will offer a significantly higher level of luxury. After all, it will cost two times more. Also, count on a familiar 17.3-kWh battery pack. The total output of the system is rated at 443 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, while details about the range are still unavailable.
2020 Bentley Bentayga Engines
Other than a new hybrid version, the powertrain lineup is about to remain the same. That would mean two familiar gasoline engines. The first one is a familiar 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, which delivers 542 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. If you are for ultimate luxury, there is a monstrous 6.0-liter W12. This one has a max output of around 600 horses and 664 lb-ft of torque. Both engines come in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission.

Features
When it comes to features, we could see a couple of novelties for the next year. Still, the core will remain the same, so expect familiar features. Base models will come equipped with things like 21-inch wheels, automatic adaptive LED headlights, automatic high beams, power-folding and heated mirrors, a heated windshield, rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, soft-close doors, a power liftgate, front and rear parking sensors, an air ride suspension, adaptive dampers etc.
On the inside, every Bentayga comes with tri-zone automatic climate control, premium leather upholstery, 16-way heated front seats with memory functions, a heated second-row bench, wood veneer trim, a cooled glovebox, a universal garage door opener, as well as with a full load of advanced tech features.
Another thing we love about this crossover is that it offers a lot of customization options. There are numerous standalone options, as well as some pretty attractive packages. One of them is City Specification package, which includes an automated parking system, surround-view camera, traffic sign reader, forward collision warning/mitigation, and rear cross-traffic alert. On the other side, All Terrain Specification package offers various kinds of off-road upgrades, including off-road drive modes, underbody skid plates, a surround-view camera system, and a cargo management system. These are just two of several packages in the offer.

2020 Bentley Bentayga Release Date and Price
We expect to see 2020 Bentley Bentayga on the market by the end of the year. An important thing to mention is that the new plug-in version will also be the entry-level model, with the base price of 156.000 dollars. So far, the V8 was the cheapest Bentayga in the offer with the price tag of 165.000 dollars.
