Last year, we saw a concept crossover that was supposed to be the first all-electric vehicle from this luxury brand. It was named the Enspire and it features not just interesting powertrain design, but also a pretty stylish exterior. These days, we are getting first reports about the production version, which is expected to arrive in the next year. The testing model has been spotted already and it looks like it already has a lot of interesting things to show. Despite the camouflage, it clearly shows some styling changes compared to the concept version. Also, it looks like the new model won’t be all-electric at all, considering that the test mule features exhaust pipes hidden under the rear bumper. The 2020 Buick Enspire is about to bring a lot of interesting things and we are eagerly waiting to see them.

2020 Buick Enspire Redesign
As we already mentioned, the new model is about to come not just as the EV model, but also in the gasoline version. That clearly indicated that we are about to see one of GM familiar platforms to underprint this crossover. Considering the size, that should be a familiar E2 platform. It is the same one that underprints models like Cadillac XT4. Moreover, the two models should share a lot of things in terms of mechanics.
When it comes to the styling, the testing model still wears a camouflage, so we can’t talk about details. Still, some changes compared to the concept version can easily be noticed. First of all, it looks like we are about to see a couple of notable modifications at the rear end. The testing model features a little bit different ending of the roofline, while the pillars obviously look thicker. Also, the production model will feature completely different taillights, which won’t span the full width of the crossover. A couple of modifications are about to come at the front as well. Still, we can’t talk about details, considering the camouflage. Most likely, the grille will be slightly reshaped, while the stylish, super-narrow headlights will probably remain untouched.

2020 Buick Enspire Powertrain
Last year when we saw a concept version, the Enspire featured with an all-electric drivetrain, which consists of a couple of electric motors. It features a max output of pretty impressive 550 horsepower, while the max range goes around 370 miles. A huge battery recharges to 80% in just 40 minutes.
However, it looks like the testing model is carrying something completely different. There are exhaust pipes under the rear bumper, hidden pretty well. This indicates that a conventional gasoline version will come as well, or the company maybe prepares a hybrid version. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is a new 2.0-liter turbo-four gasoline engine. It is good for about 237 horsepower and comes in pair with a 9-speed automatic transmission. At this point, it is still unclear whether the new 2020 Buick Enspire is about to feature both EV and internal combustion versions, or the electric drivetrain will remain in concept version only.
Interior
When it comes to interior design, it seems too early for details at this point. The company presenter new cabin design in the concept version, but such design seems far away from something we could see in a production version. The 2020 Buick Enspire is about to come with far more conventional dashboard design, probably with a lot of inspiration from Buick’s crossovers that are still in production. We will know more details in the future.
