Last year, we saw a brand-new model called XT4. The upcoming model will be representing the second production year, so we don’t count on too many notable updates. According to the latest reports, the upcoming model will remain practically the same. We could expect from the 2020 Cadillac XT4 a couple of additions to the list of standard equipment. Other than that, the upcoming model will carry on with a familiar design, with the same mechanics and powertrain. Therefore, expect to see it on the market sometime late in the year, with no bigger changes in the price.
2020 Cadillac XT4 Redesign
In terms of base design characteristics, the 2020 Cadillac XT4 will definitely remain the same. This is a compact crossover, which rides on a familiar E2 platform, which is used for a variety of GM model, though there is no other SUV to use it. The closest relatives are sedans like Buick LaCrosse, Chevy Malibu etc. In terms of the styling, things are pretty familiar here. The new model features the brand’s latest design language, which combines a lot of sharp lines with the company’s new front face, which is characterized by a familiar shield-like grille shape, but completely new headlights which are, at this moment, pretty distinctive.

There are no interior changes to come for the second production year. The 2020 Cadillac XT4 will continue with the same interior layout, which is characterized by pretty amazing interior quality. The cargo area also features decent volume. You can count on about 22.5 cubic feet behind rear seats, while the overall capacity goes around 48.9 cubic feet.
Features
The biggest novelties for the 2020 Cadillac XT4 are in terms of new standard features. There is a couple of safety features that are now part of the standard equipment. Those are forward-collision warning and the automatic emergency braking are now standard. Other than that, things are pretty much the same, so the list also includes things like rear parking sensors, a rearview camera etc. Of course, things are much better in higher trims, where you can also get things like blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, a safety alert seat, a rearview mirror camera, a surround-view parking camera, automatic parking assist, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and many more things.
When it comes to tech goodies, all models will come standard with things like 8-inch touch screen, Cadillac’s User Experience infotainment system includes HD Radio, satellite radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, four USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot and more.
2020 Cadillac XT4 Engines
Things under the hood will remain the same. The 2020 Cadillac XT4 will carry on with a new 2.0-liter turbo-four. It is good for about 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque and come in pair with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Besides a smooth and confident ride, this crossover also features a pretty good fuel economy, which goes around 24 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
2020 Cadillac XT4 Release Date and Price
Considering that there are no bigger changes to come for the next year, the 2020 Cadillac XT4 will hit the market late in the year. We don’t expect changes in price, so base models should go around 35.000 dollars.
