Despite not being in production for 23 years, the Bronco never faded away. Moreover, the demand for the iconic SUV became bigger and bigger. Eventually, the company decided to bring it back. The first time we hear this was more than two years ago, at Detroit Auto Show. These days, we are eagerly waiting to get some more details about the model, which is about to come as the 2020 Ford Bronco, most likely. The new model will be produced alongside Ranger pickup, which also came back to the North American market after years of absence.
The two models will share mechanics almost completely, but it looks like the new SUV will come with distinctive aesthetics if we can trust the latest reports. Allegedly, the testing model has been spotted, but it still wears a complete camouflage, so we can’t say anything more precise about the look. Still, the new model should take off the camo soon, as the production version is about to come in the next year.

2020 Ford Bronco Redesign
The first thing we should mention about the new model is the platform. There is no doubt that the new 2020 Ford Bronco will ride on a familiar T6 platform, which was originally developed for the Ranger pickup. Of course, we are about to see various upgrades for this occasion, which will provide improved ride experience. When it comes to the model’s size, this should be a typical mid-size SUV. According to our reliable sources, the overall length should go around 190 inches. The same reports also suggest that the 2020 Ford Bronco is about to be a serious off-road machine, which will compete with models like Toyota 4Runner and Jeep Wrangler. Therefore, count on various chassis upgrades, which will include solid axles and various other things that already characterize the Ranger pickup, which is already an excellent off-roader.
Styling
The exterior look is definitely the most intriguing thing about the new SUV. According to the latest reports, it won’t have too many things in common with the rest of the company’s lineup. From what we can see on the photo that Ford announced a couple of months ago, where the 2020 Ford Bronco is completely covered, it seems clear that the new model will feature pretty boxy shape, in a rugged manner as you would expect from a genuine body-on-frame SUV. It also looks quite likely to see the new model in both 3- and 5-door body styles.

On the other side, it is still unclear how the front face will look like. Some experts suggest it will also be pretty unique. On the other side, many experts believe that the front end will look pretty similar to the F-150 truck. In any case, it won’t have many things in common with the current crossover lineup.
Interior
This aspect of the 2020 Ford Bronco is still a mystery. At this point, we can only speculate about the new model’s cabin. As we already mentioned, two cab styles are expected to be in the offer. Naturally, the three-door model will feature smaller cabins and less space on the inside, which the bigger models will feature a higher level of functionality and a more spacious cargo area.
Another interesting thing about this SUV is that doors will probably be removable, as well as some other body panels. However, it’s unclear will this be reserved for three-door models only or both versions. On the other side, we don’t know details about aesthetics. Most likely, the dashboard and the rest of the cabin will look similar to the Ranger Pickup, but with numerous distinctive details as well.
2020 Ford Bronco Engines
At this point, one engine seems like a certain thing. It is a 2.3-liter turbo-four EcoBoost unit, the same one that powers the Ranger. It is good for about 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Still, we are pretty sure this won’t be the only engine in the offer. We also expect to see some bigger and more powerful version in the offer, maybe even under Raptor badge. Most reports suggest it could be a new 3.0-liter V6. A diesel option is possible as well.
Finally, we expect to see some electrification in the near future. That would most likely be a plug-in hybrid. At this point, we don’t know details, but we are pretty sure that this version won’t be ready for the initial launch. Still, we are pretty sure we won’t have to wait for too long.

2020 Ford Bronco Release Date and Price
As we already mentioned, the new model is expected to hit the market sometime in the next year. However, we could see its premiere at some of the upcoming auto shows, most like in Detroit next January. When it comes to the 2020 Ford Bronco price, base models will probably go around 35.000 dollars.
