2020 Lexus NX300 Redesign, Specs, Features, Price

The NX is one of the rare models from Toyota that still waits to switch to a new TNGA platform. The RAV4-based compact crossover has been around since 2014 and it looks like it will carry on for another year, at least. The 2020 Lexus NX300 is expected to come with familiar design characteristics, which haven’t changed for these years. The best we could see for the next year are things like new color options and more standard equipment. Therefore, expect to see the new model sometime late in the year.

2020 Lexus NX300 Redesign

In terms of design characteristics, the 2020 Lexus NX300 definitely won’t change. We expect that the company will stick to its typical production cycle, so the next-generation model shouldn’t come before 2021. Therefore, the upcoming model is about to continue in the same way, with a familiar design, which is completely adapted to the brand’s current design language, highlighted by the famous spindle grille. The interesting thing about this model is its mechanics. It is one of a few models that still wait to switch to the company’s new TNGA platform. Instead, it still rides on the previous-generation New MC architecture, so keep in mind that this isn’t the most athletic model in the class. On the other side, you can count on excellent reliability and overall quality.

Interior

On the inside, there is really nothing to complain about the NX’s quality. Some would say that there are too much plastic surfaces, which is pretty untypical for Lexus, but the overall quality is great, while the dashboard looks stylish as well. This cabin comes with two quite spacious rows of seats. You can count on plenty of legroom, particularly in the first row, which also features great seat quality. The second row is also very generous in terms of legroom. However, it’s not that generous in terms of headroom, as the crossover features a sloping roof design. The same thing also affects cargo area, so most rivals are better in this aspect. With the NX, you can count on about 18 cubic feet behind the second row, while the overall capacity goes up to 54 cubic feet.

Features

When it comes to standard equipment, the 2020 Lexus NX300 could come with a couple of additions, but the core will remain the same. Therefore, base models will come standard with things like 8-inch display screen, Bluetooth, a USB port, a Wi-Fi hot spot, an eight-speaker audio system, satellite radio, and HD Radio. In higher trims, you can also get 10.3-inch infotainment display, a 10-speaker sound system, navigation, moonroof, and many more things.

In terms of safety, there is no doubt that the 2020 Lexus NX300 will stand great. All models will feature a rearview camera, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection. Things are even better in higher trims, where you can get birds-eye-view camera system, parking sensors with automatic braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, etc.
