Honda Passport is very fresh. It came back to the market last year, after a pretty long hiatus. Despite a pretty good reception, some reports are suggesting that we could see updates already for the next year. Simply, the Pilot is about to receive an update in the next year, so we may expect the same thing from the corporal sibling. Of course, this won’t be a too big update, but we may expect a couple of visual updates. More changes are expected in terms of features, where we should see notable additions in terms of tech goodies, safety systems etc. The 2021 Honda Passport should hit the market in the third quarter of next year.

2021 Honda Passport Redesign
In terms of base design characteristics, we definitely won’t see any notable change. The 2021 Honda Passport will continue to share most of its characteristics with the Pilot, both in terms of mechanics and aesthetics. Still, we may see a couple of revisions, it terms of the styling. This particularly refers to the front end, where we may expect to see a couple of modifications on headlights, grille, bumpers etc.
The rear end probably won’t feature any notable revision. On the other side, the overall shape should remain identical. Also, new color options and wheels are expected to arrive.
Interior
When it comes to interior design, we don’t expect to see a bigger revision in terms of the base cabin layout. Still, a couple of smaller tweaks to the dashboard are possible. On the other side, we may see some notable additions in terms of standard features. The current model is practical and functional. However, it isn’t as generous as some rivals, in terms of standard equipment.

For example, base models come with a small 5-inch screen, which isn’t something you would expect from a model at this price range. Therefore, we hope that an 8-inch touchscreen will be a standard feature in the 2021 Honda Passport.
Safety
When it comes to safety, this crossover is pretty generous. All models come standard with automatic high beams, a rearview came and Honda Sensing suite of safety features. This suite consist of a pretty long list of driver aids, such as lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking etc.
In higher trim levels, you can also get things like parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
2021 Honda Passport Engine and Performances
We definitely don’t expect changes under the hood. The current model comes standard with a well-known 3.5-liter V6, which delivers around 280 horsepower. Such amount of power is more than enough to ensure strong performances, while we also like how a 9-speed automatic transmission works. It ensures a pretty smooth ride.
Besides being a crossover, the Passport is also a quite capable off-roader. It comes with things like AWD, intelligent Variable Torque Management and a pretty decent 8.1 inches of ground clearance. All these things combined ensure pretty strong off-road performances, but we would definitely like to see a performance version, which would feature reinforcements in terms of skid plates, locking differentials and similar things. At this point, the company is still pretty quiet on this matter.

2021 Honda Passport Release Date and Price
The 2021 Honda Passport will receive a couple of quite notable changes, so we presume it could arrive a little bit earlier than usual. This could easily be the third quarter of the next year. When it comes to the price, we don’t expect to see bigger changes compared to the current model, which starts at around 32.000 dollars. Key competitors are models like Ford Edge, Hyundai Santa Fe, Nissan Murano etc.
