The big news is coming from FCA as the third U.S. major carmaker is finally about to get its player in the segment of full-size SUVs. For a long time, the Expedition and Tahoe didn’t have rival from Chrysler corporation and this is finally going to change. We are about to see a comeback of the famous nameplate, which will come as the 2021 Jeep Wagoneer.
The new SUV is in the testing phase. The testing model has been spotted on the road and the latest reports suggest that the premiere will be scheduled for the next spring. At this point, we don’t know too many details about it, but it’s not hard to presume how the new model will look like. Of course, it will be big and spacious, but we also count on Jeep’s typical styling approach, as well as on at least two powertrain options.

2021 Jeep Wagoneer Redesign
Of course, the first thing that comes to mind about such vehicles is the platform. Fortunately, FCA has some proven, we would say excellent design solutions for this occasion. Yes, we are talking about the new Ram 1500, which has been introduced recently. The 2021 Jeep Wagoneer will ride on the same platform and share so many things with it. This particularly refers to mechanics, where the new SUV should be pretty much the same, with the addition of some design solutions that will bring comfort to the next level.
Naturally, we are talking about an independent rear suspension, which is becoming pretty much a common thing among full-size SUVs these days, as it has a highly positive effect on the ride quality and overall performances. Other than that, the 2021 Jeep Wagoneer’s will probably be identical to the Ram 1500, including the powertrain lineup.
2021 Jeep Wagoneer Exterior Design
In terms of the exterior design, we have no doubt that the 2021 Jeep Wagoneer will be designed in Jeep’s typical manner. This particularly refers to the front face, which should come with the company’s trademarks, such as the famous grille with vertical bars and similar things. We expect a lot of similarities with Grand Cherokee, which is also about to come completely redesigned in the near future.
The overall shape, though, will come in a typical wagon-like body. This will be a pretty big SUV, so you may count on plenty of space. Given the segment standards, the 2021 Jeep Wagoneer should measure more than 122 inches between the axles, which in practice means pretty robust dimensions and lots of interior space. Moreover, many reports suggest a long-wheelbase version in the offer as well. This model will come as the 2021 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and we count on more than 130 inches in wheelbase. This model will compete with Chevy Suburban, Ford Expedition Max etc.

2021 Jeep Wagoneer Interior
As we already mentioned, the 2021 Jeep Wagoneer interior will be very spacious. With such wheelbase and overall dimension, we definitely count on three rows of seats that are generous in terms of legroom. Also, we count on a huge cargo hold that can go up to 120 cubic feet or even more.
In terms of the dashboard design, as well as about the overall quality, we have no doubt that Jeep will put a lot of effort to make this cabin look upscale. Of course, this would involve lots of hi-quality materials and attractive dashboard design. Jeep models are generally known for very good overall quality, but the new Ram 1500 also looks pretty amazing. The 2021 Jeep Wagoneer should mix these two approaches. Another thing we expect to see in the new model is that huge touchscreen that can be found in the famous truck.
2021 Jeep Wagoneer Engines
When it comes to the engine lineup, things are quite simple. There’s no doubt that the new 2021 Jeep Wagoneer will rely on FCA’s familiar engine options. Most likely, the base version will come with a familiar 3.6-liter V6, which is good for about 305 horsepower. On the other side, higher trims will come with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8, which is good for about 395 horsepower. Both engines should come with the company’s new eTorque system, which is a mild hybrid system that ensures a little bit higher mpg ratings than usual.
Finally, we should see a diesel engine in the offer as well. Of course, that should be a familiar 3.0-liter V6 with around 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. All engines should come in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission.

2021 Jeep Wagoneer Release Date and Price
The latest reports suggest that the 2021 Jeep Wagoneer will have a premiere in the second quarter of 2020. Sales should start a couple of months later. Base models should go around 50.000 dollars.
