The current generation of the famous full-size SUV has been around for a couple of years and it looks like the company already prepares updates. Of course, there have been yearly updates so far, but this time we expect something a little bit bigger. Although it may seem early for a mid-cycle refresh, the fact is that the competition will soon become much tougher. First of all, the new Escalade is on its way. Moreover, we expect to see a completely redesigned Land Cruiser in the near future, as well as a couple of more novelties. Therefore, we presume that the company will prepare some kind of an answer, in the form of 2021 Lincoln Navigator.
At this point, it is still early to talk about the exact changes, but we are pretty sure that the focus will be on aesthetics and new features. Some reports even suggest a possibility to see a new, electrified powertrain in the offer. We expect to see the new model sometime in the last quarter of 2020.

2021 Lincoln Navigator Redesign
When it comes to those most basic design characteristics, the 2021 Lincoln Navigator won’t change. It will continue with the famous all-aluminum body and to deliver a fantastic combination of comfort and great driving characteristics. We don’t expect to see any mechanical change for this occasion, considering that the Navigator is still way ahead of the competition in many aspects. One of the first things that come to mind is an independent rear suspension, which is still the exclusive feature of the Navigator.
On the other side, visual updates are possible. The current model looks very good, but updates of this kind are always welcome. Still, we don’t expect to see anything significant, just a couple of tweaks to the front face, in terms of the bumper, grille etc. The rest of the vehicle probably won’t feature any particular change, except for typical updates, such as new color options wheels etc.
Interior
The cabin of the current model looks amazing. There is plenty of opulence on the dashboard and around, while the materials’ choice is impressive. Therefore, we don’t expect to see bigger revisions in this aspect, except for new color schemes.
On the other side, it would be great if Lincoln can update the infotainment system. The current one works good, but we would like to see a little bit better graphics. Of course, other additions in terms of tech goodies are expected as well.

Still, the base layout will remain the same, so you may count on three spacious and comfortable rows of seats. The cargo volume goes around 20 cubic feet behind the third row, while the overall capacity goes way over 100 cubic feet.
Features
Updates in this aspects are always expected. Still, keep in mind that the current model is already quite impressive in this aspect, so we shouldn’t expect too much. The current model is already equipped with things like a 10-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation, six USB ports, satellite radio, a 14-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and wireless device charging. Additionally, you can get things like a 20-speaker audio system, panoramic sunroof, rear-seat entertainment system etc.
When it comes to safety, the 2020 model year came with significant novelties. So, the Navigator now comes standard with things like pre-collision warning and braking system with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera etc. Additionally, you can get things like parallel and perpendicular park assist system, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, and a surround-view parking camera.
2021 Lincoln Navigator Engines
When it comes to the powertrain, there is no doubt that the current 3.5-liter V6 will carry on in the same way. It is good for about 450 horsepower and ensures excellent performances, thanks to plenty of power but also thanks to a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. Also, mpg ratings are pretty decent, as you may count on about 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.
According to some reports, the 2021 Lincoln Navigator will get a new powertrain option. Various sources suggest a hybrid version for the near future. The exact details are still unavailable, though some reports talk about the new plug-in hybrid that debuted in Ford Explorer. This system is good for about 445 horsepower and quite impressive 620 pound-feet of torque.

2021 Lincoln Navigator Release Date and Price
The 2021 Lincoln Navigator could come with some updates, but nothing has been confirmed yet. If that happens, we may see it on the market a little bit earlier, but still within the last quarter of the year. When it comes to the price, bigger changes are not expected. Base models should go around 76.000 dollars.
