Macan for the new season has a fresh look. Designers will continue to improve it beyond 2019. Further updates will include more features, an overhaul of the interior, and possibly a performance-oriented model. The exterior is already new, and now we are waiting what else the 2020 Porsche Macan is introducing. Although numbers are not official, experts are very confident about specs of the new model. The 2020 Macan is not going to add more options under the bonnet.
One of the major things, which could happen in 2020, is the arrival of the GT3 model with unbelievable outputs and price. This stunning model will be a cherry atop the cake called second generation Macan crossover SUV. Ever since its arrival, it is drawing attention, so there is not surprising why the German carmaker decides to launch the new series of the vehicle after just five years.
2020 Porsche Macan Changes
The new generation of the crossover arrived for the car show in Paris and it didn’t disappoint many fans there. The new look keeps the main characteristics – aggressive and stylish appearance. However, this is just a preview of the vehicle that will arrive next year. Some visual solutions will be borrowed from Panamera and Cayenne SUV. For example, LED head- and taillights are very similar. The front fascia is lower and wider, making the overall impression bolder. The new 2020 Porsche Macan is going to use 20- or 21-inch wheels.
Interior
The CUV is going to change things up inside the cabin. More futuristic styling and modern features will be all around driver and passengers. An eleven-inch touchscreen display holds all controls for the infotainment system. It is completely customizable. Voice controls and navigation are standard. The 2020 Porsche Macan will also offer traffic updates. Off-road Precise assist feature will be very handy for these drivers who plan to take its ride to various terrain.
The 2020 Porsche Macan will also get a sort of autonomous drive. However, auto steering and braking are available for speeds under 37 mph. In future, Porsche is planning to add Level 2 or Level 3 auto-drive system for most of its models.
2020 Porsche Macan Engine, Specs, Mileage
The 2020 Porsche Macan continues to use a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine as the base unit. It is capable to deliver 250 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard for the entire 2020 Macan lineup, and such system returns 20/25 mpg. A seven-speed transmission is a power router. When sprinting 0-60 mph, the crossover stops the clock at 6.5 seconds. Details about S, GTS, and Turbo models are not available, but we assume these versions will raise the bar over 350 and 400 hp.
2020 Porsche Macan GT3 RS
Top of the class for the next season is not going to be 2020 Porsche Macan Turbo with a performance package that offers 450 hp. Instead, the company is delivering a new star of the lineup. The GT3 RS model can sprint to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and it will cost a fortune. Spy shots of this vehicle are already available, so its launch is very certain. A 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine is also creating power for the same version of Porsche 911. However, the sport car is lighter than crossover SUV. However, this setup will be good for 500 hp and 170 mph top speed.
