2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara Review, Price, Hybrid

After the recent facelift, we expect that the 2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara will carry on in the same way, without any notable change. The current generation has been around since 2015 and the latest reports are suggesting that the new model will remain in production for another year or two. That’s the reason why we don’t expect anything important to happen in the next year. We count on a familiar design, with familiar features and specs. This also means the new model should hit the market in typical time, sometime late in the year, without notable price changes.

In terms of base design characteristics, the 2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara will continue with the same characteristics. The current generation has been around for some time but a facelift came last year. For that occasion, we have seen various updates. From the outside, you can notice a bunch of novelties at the front. There is a new front fascia, as well as a new bumper, while the rear end comes with new taillights. Of course, there are some new color options in the offer and new wheels designs.

On the inside, the updated model came with a new instrument cluster, which includes a new digital display as well. All in all, the amount of changes is large enough to expect no bigger modification before the complete overhaul. Still, don’t exclude the possibility to see a couple of additions to the list of standard features, as well as things like new color options.

2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara Engines

The engine lineup largely depends on the market, and keep in mind that the 2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara will continue to be offered in various parts of the world. Still, the older-generation 1.6-liter naturally-aspirated engine is still in the offer in many parts of the world. It delivers around 120 horsepower. Also, there is a new 1.4-liter turbo-four, which came with the last-year facelift. This one is more efficient and delivers around 140 horsepower. On markets like Europe, you can also find a small 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine, which is good for about 110 horsepower. Suzuki’s well-known AllGrip AWD system is available with all engines.

2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara Release Date and Price

Considering that there are no bigger changes to come for the next year, we presume that the 2020 Suzuki Grand Vitara will hit the market sometime late in the year. When it comes to the price, base models currently go around 18.650 Euros in Europe and 30.000 dollars in Australia.

Next-Generation Vitara Could Debut Already in the Next Year!?

According to some reports, there is a chance to see the next generation of this small SUV already in the next year. Of course, we would see a premiere first, while the production version would come a little bit later. In any case, the new model would come with a lot of novelties, including new powertrain options, improved efficiency, more comfort and convenience etc. Some reports also suggest an electrified version of the new SUV. It’s no secret that Suzuki has signed a new partnership deal with Toyota, which includes hybrid technology as well. Therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise if we see the next-generation Grand Vitara with some of Toyota’s familiar systems.
